OBJECTIVE
To Install the NS Client++ on the windows server.

- Procedure for Installing NS Client++ on the windows server.
- Upload and Install the PKG
- Check NT Communication and Port Status
- Before uploading and installing the NS Client on server check the server architecture if it is 32 bit or 62 bit. Accordingly upload the setup for the server, procedure of installing the NS Client is same for 32 bit and 64 bit.
- Upload NSCP-0.4.1.73-x32.msi to the server.
- Install the NSCP-0.4.1.73-x32.msi on the server.
- Double click on the NSCP-0.4.1.73-x32.msi setup and it will prompt to the welcome screen (as shown below).
- Click on next button, it will prompt to the license agreement window (as shown below).
- Accept the license and click on the next button, it will prompt to choose the setup type (as shown below).
- Select the setup type as custom and it will show the different options select the plugins option and make sure that all the plugins are present (as shown below).
- Click on the next button and select the option allow all users to write config file and do not change any other option (as shown below).
- Click on the next button it will prompt to the window which will ask for the allowed hosts and the password and modules to load, write nagios server ip in allowed hosts, write password as “root123”, and select all the modules to be loaded (as shown below)
- Click on next button this will prompt to the next window on that window click on install button option and the NS Client services will be installed on the server (as shown below).
- After the installation of the NS Client service go to the location C:\Program Files\NSClient++ and open the file nsclient.ini, comment the option of checkWMI (for commenting put a semicolon in front of the line where checkWMI=1 is written), as shown below
- Enter the port number in the same file nsclient.ini below the allowed host and the password option write (port=12489) as shown below.
- Save and close the file.
- Go to Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services Double click on the “NSClient++ (Nagios) 0.3.1.1w32″ service and select the check-box that says “Allow service to interact with desktop” as shown below.
- Click on the apply button and restart the services of NS Client++.
