Steps to Add Windows Clients on SAMBA4 at Bajaj Capitals

Steps to add a client in Domain.

1. Open network properties and add the IP add <132.0.0.20> in Primary DNS server column.

Note - 132.0.0.20 IP address is Samba server ip address and we have installed inbuilt dns server along with Samba installation.

2. Open My computer properties, and Select Computer Name . Now you need to click on Option Change, Once you click on change window you need to select DOMAIN and enter the domain name like – bajajcapital.com

3. Now you need to click on More and add bajajcapital.com

4. After followed the above steps, close all open window and logoff the computer. Now you will get the login screen again on you monitor but with few changes.You need to enter you username and password with logon as bajajcapital.

Note ( Bajajcapital is the domain name and username , password information share by IT team.)

5. After logged into system, all policies will applied on the user which are created for the OU by IT team.

Examples are mention below -

1. User not able to open network connection properties.

2. Unable to open Internet properties vi tools menu from IE.

3. Restricted to open add/remove programs from Control Panel.

4. Restricted to change desktop wallpaper,screen saver etc.

5. Unable to install software until unless user not having admin rights.

6. Restricted to open registry via regedit command.

7. If need we can hide the system clock from notification bar.

8. Unable to open toolbars if needed.

9. Users are disallowed to install any microsoft based appilication.

10. Users can be restricted to use network printers.

11. Centralized folder restriction.

12. Define logon scripts for Users.

13. IP protocols blocking at Computer level.
