Tips Trick on Creation managing wiki pages

Creation of New Wiki Page

  1. On the URL of wiki type the Subject of the Document . for example if I want to create a page with Title "Tips Trick on Creation managing wiki pages" Then please have the URL as http://192.168.1.15/wiki/index.php/Tips_Trick_on_Creation_managing_wiki_pages .
  1. This will prompt for editing this page . Please start editing .
  1. Fist on the Top , define the Category ( if you know ) , for example . The uppercase or lower case of the category needs to be same . If you are not sure about category , you can skip it .
  1. Now you can Either start writing or copy / paste the content and Save it

Your page is Ready and will be visible

but without any formating

Formating Tips

Use Media Wiki Plugin with Libra Office

This is most easiest way of uploading long and good formatted documents on Wiki.



  1. Install Media Wiki Plugin on Libra office or Open office . Any office document ( Libra Writer) can be directly imported to Wiki
  2. Define http://wiki.tetrain.com/wiki or http://192.168.1.15/wiki as URL in media wiki plugin
  3. Once the document is imported , Images in the document needs to be saved and uploaded via "Upload file " option.
  4. Define the Category via [[category:category name]] at the top of the uploaded wiki document.
  5. If the document have content formatted already , the wiki will also be visible the same way

Direct Formating

  1. Define category on the top by [[category:Category name]] e.g [[category:Tetra Clients]]
  2. Bold any text by putting '''at the begining and end of the text. Or the wiki editor also have these formatting like bold,italics ,big font, underline etc.
  3. Content of Index can easily by putting "==" or "=" at the begining and ending of Heading .
  4. put image by uloading the image and in the text mention "[[Image:Image_name]]" at the place you want the image .

I find the Best way is to Open a any Formatted already Incorporated Page, and see what has been done , And just learn and follow
