Requirement for a Mail Server to SMTP Relay Server - ZIMBRA[edit]
- Zimbra Servers are ready to send mails to other domains or External Domains if Internet is avialable on the Server
- It can connect to Internet via Firewall , as NAT environment.
- Mandatory requirments are
- Strong SPAM and AV Engines
- Server's Hostname needs to be Published on Domain's Name Server as A record
- The firewall should Allow reverse queries for port 25 , 465 and 587 .
- Reverse PTR Entry of the Hostname of Server with ISP who provides the Internet Link , on his DNS .
- DKIM records is preffered
- SPF DNS records are preffered
- Link and IP reputation should be High
- No Errors on the Domain's Name Servers and its all the Records
- Good , statble and filtered Bandwidth
- Correctly configured Firewalls . Misconfguration of Firewall can cause issue with Mail Traffic
